We are looking for a seasoned Software Engineer to join our fast expanding R&D team in Shanghai. The role will be primarily focused on developing SOA-based applications. Ideal candidates should be tech savvy and keep themselves up to date with the latest technology. It is expected that the candidate will have solid understanding of computer science fundamentals, especially on SDLC in distributed applications. It’s essential that you will have strong software development experiences with SOA, SOAP web services, Restful APIs, and messaging solutions. This position is suitable to someone who has been a technical lead in the past in the development of complex distributed systems. You are expected to be self-motivated and have a strong habit of producing high quality work. The right candidate will have strong communication skills and comfortable with collaborating with our globally distributed teams.

Primary job Responsibilities:

• Solution evaluation on open source and commercial SOA solutions

• Engage with stakeholders to perform requirement analysis and delivery review

• Participate in technical design and implementation to support company’s business and technical initiatives.

• Responsible of software design, technical documentation, code review.

• Join Scrum team and attend daily project standup meetings.

• Mentor junior software engineers.

Job Requirements:

• BS/BA or above in CS or related field. A master or PhD degree is advantageous.

• 58 year experience in requirements analysis, design, coding and unit testing of scalable, distributed, fault-tolerant applications

• Expertise required in object-oriented design methodology and application development in Java and J2EE, including Spring, Hibernate, servlets, JDBC, XML, XSL

• Hands-on development experience with J2EE application

• Experience with database and SQL, preferably Oracle

• Proven experience in developing web services and REST APIs

• Extensive knowledge on SOAP, WSDLs, XML, and related Web Services concepts

• 8+ year experience in leading medium-to-large project development

• Proven track of success with strong focus on high velocity and high quality

• Familiar with Agile/Scrum

• Fluent English abilities in both speaking and writing

• Good communication skills

Basic Qualifications
